So the philosopher, they say it was Bertrand Russell, goes to give a lecture on astronomy. He talks through the whole thing. The universe, a galaxy full of stars like our sun, our earth revolving around our sun, and the moon around us, and so on.

"You've got it wrong! The earth is supported on the back of a giant turtle."
"Well," says Bertrand "but what does the turtle sit on?"
And the old lady straightens up and says "very clever, young man, very clever, but it's turtles all the way down!"
